Imani Tate signs at Ardoi

Imani Tate

Oses Construccion Ardoi (LF Challenge) signed 29-year-old American (also holds U.S. Virgin Islands passport) 175cm swingman Imani Tate (college: Albany) for the upcoming season. Tate, who most recently played at Halcones in Mexican LNBPF, averaged 15.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 4.0apg, and 1.8spg in 22 games last season. She was named League Player of the Week during that time. Prior to Halcones, Tate played at Ensino.
Tate represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the Central American and Caribbean Games for Women in San Salvador (El Salvador) last year. Tate was the top scorer at the tournament with over 16 ppg and she was the best passer with 9 assists per game, while she helped her team win Gold.
She is a very experienced player. Tate has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Argentina (Union Florida), Mexico, Spain (Alcobendas, Leganes and Zaragoza) and Ecuador (Leones).
Tate's team won the Spanish LF Endesa Cup in 2023. She was selected to Latinbasket.com All-FIBA AmeriCup Honorable Mention in 2021.
She graduated from University at Albany in 2017 and it'll be her 8th season in pro basketball.
