BK Gorizont Minsk (Premier League) agreed terms with 27-year old U.S. Virgin Islands international guard Taylor Jones (173cm-1997, college: Oakland). She was the top scorer at Los Leones in Chilean LNF league last season where in 13 games she had very impressive stats: 25.2ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.8apg and 2.1spg. Great season as she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Guard of the Year. The last season she played at The Capital (D1) in Saudi Arabian league. She also played for Peja 03 in Kosovan league. The other team she played shortly was OA Chania (A1) in Greek league.
Jones also represented U.S. Virgin Islands at the FIBA Centrobasket Women's Championship in Irapuato (Mexico) last year. During this event she scored an average of 12.8 points per game and had 6.6 rebounds per game.
She is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in eleven different countries. Jones tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Bosnia (Banovici), Finland (Espoo Team), Greece, Iceland (Fjolnir), Kosovo, Luxembourg (T71 Dudelange), Portugal (CAB Madeira), Puerto Rico (Toa Baja), Saudi Arabia and Ukraine (Chaika).
Her team won Luxembourg League Regular Season in 2023.
Jones graduated from Oakland University in 2019 and it will be her sixth season as a professional player. She played for other colleges like: Hutchinson Community College, University of Memphis, Kentucky State University.
