23-year old forward Dakarai Tucker (196-F-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Welcome and receives a Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 34 points adding two rebounds and four assists for Welcome in his team's victory, helping them to beat Nacional (#9, 1-2) 81-74. Welcome is placed at 6th position in Uruguayan league. Welcome is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Tucker had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Welcome's top player in his first season with the team. University of Utah graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tucker is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.5ppg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP and 52.6% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Paul Harrison (203-C-89) of Olimpia. He is American center in his first season at Olimpia. In the last game Harrison recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Olimpia lost that game 82-91 to Defensor (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Harrison is a newcomer at Olimpia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center AJ West (206-C-91) of league's leader Bigua. West scored 18 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bigua, leading his team to a 82-78 win against U Universitario (#8, 1-2). Bigua started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. West turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. West has a great season in Uruguay. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.7rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Winsome Frazier (193-G-82) of Defensor - 26 points and 3 rebounds
5. Marvin Phillips (201-F-83) of Defensor - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Rakim Brown (198-F-91) of Goes - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Esteban Batista (208-C-83) of Welcome - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Abel Agarbado (172-G-93) of Olimpia - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Andres Dotti (185-G-93) of Defensor - 24 points
10. Dwayne Curtis (203-C-85) of Aguada - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
