Defending champion Malvin Montevideo (LUB) inked experienced 35-year old Greek power forward Fotios Lampropoulos (206-104kg-83, agency: Interperformances). He is the second import player in the roster as Italian Nicolas Mazzarino signed here earlier.
Lampropoulos played in the summer at Guaiqueries in Venezuelan LPB league. In 8 games he averaged 11.1ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.0apg. The last season Lampropoulos played at Boca Juniors (LigaA) in league where in 39 games he had 13.4ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.6apg.
Among other achievements Lampropoulos won Spanish LEB Gold championship title in 2012. He received also All-Argentinian LigaA Honorable Mention award in 2017.
Lampropoulos was a member of Greek U18 National Team between 2000 and 2003.
He is a very experienced player. Lampropoulos has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Lampropoulos has played previously professionally in Spain (CB Canarias, Tenerife, L'Hospitalet and CBA Gran Canaria II), Greece (Aris, Iraklis, Apollon Patras, Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas and Olimpiada), Argentina (Ferrocarril) and Italy (Vanoli Cremona).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Malvin.
Lampropoulos' game is described as: Left Handed.
