FARONTE DRAKEFORD

BBC US Hiefenech Heffingen (N2) added to their roster 25-year old American forward Faronte Drakeford (201-98kg-92, college: Central Connecticut State). He played last summer at Miramar in Uruguayan Metropolitan. In 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.8ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.8apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League 2nd Team and All-Imports Team.
The most of last season Drakeford spent at Mataro Parc Boet (EBA) in league where in 24 games he averaged remarkable 18.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5spg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish EBA Honorable Mention. Drakeford also spent pre-season at Coalci - C.B. Sant Josep Badalona (EBA) in Spain. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish EBA Honorable Mention.
He was voted JUCO Region 10 Player of the Year back in 2010 at his college time.
Drakeford has played also professionally in Spain (Azuqueca).
He attended Central Connecticut State until 2015 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
On Drakeford: Drakeford is a pure scorer. He can create his own shot off the dribble and has soft hands. He can consistently hit the 15'-18' jumper and as a slasher he can attack the rim. He can score with his back to the basket and as well as from the wing. He is a great help defender.
