Cleon
Roberts
American Forward Cleon Roberts (198-F-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for VERDIRROJO, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Sayago (#14, 0-10), the league's bottom-ranked team 99-87. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Verdirrojo maintains the 12th position in Uruguayan LUB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 6 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Roberts had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Verdirrojo's top player in his first season with the team. Cleon Roberts averages this season 17.0ppg and 5.5rpg. Worth to mention Roberts played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Duke Crews (203-F-88) of Sayago. Crews had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Sayago lost that game 87-99 to slightly higher-ranked Verdirrojo (#12, 2-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sayago is still at the dead bottom 14th position. 10 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Crews is a newcomer at Sayago, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Luis Hernandez (198-F) of ATENAS (#9). He scored 24 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite 's great performance Atenas lost 80-91 to the higher-ranked Hebraica (#5, 6-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Atenas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 5 lost games. has a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 9.8rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 1.4apg (best passer). He also has 2.7bpg and FGP: 61.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mike Hughes (191-PG-96) of Verdirrojo - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Brandon Nazione (202-PF-94) of Olimpia - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Paul Harrison (203-C-89) of Trouville - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Joe Efese (198-PF-90) of Verdirrojo - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Donald Robinson (193-G-89) of Trouville - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Kiril Wachsmann (203-C-84) of Olimpia - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jermont Horton (198-F/G-84) of Hebraica - 22 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
