Nick Waddell
American Nick Waddell (200-C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for WELCOME and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 29-year old center had a double-double of 30 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Defensor (#1, 7-2) 98-86. Welcome maintains the 13th position in Uruguayan LUB. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Welcome have already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Waddell had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Welcome's top player in his first season with the team. Grand Valley State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Waddell is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.6ppg) and averages solid 53.9% FGP and 61.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 33-year old American forward Patrick Sanders (201-F-85) of league's best team Defensor. Sanders impressed basketball fans with 37 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Defensor lost that game 86-98 to the lower-ranked Welcome (#13, 2-7). Defensor managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. His team has currently 7-2 record. Sanders is a newcomer at Defensor and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Duke Crews (203-F-88) of Sayago (#14). Crews showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, seventeen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Crews' great performance Sayago lost 82-90 to the higher-ranked Atenas (#8, 6-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Sayago can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 11 games. Too bad for Crews he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Crews has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gabriel Belardo (188-G-89) of Atenas - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Anthony Danridge (196-F-86) of Nacional - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Miguel Ruiz (197-F-90) of Trouville - 8 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Brian Williams (208-C-87) of Hebraica - 10 points and 17 rebounds
8. Fotios Lampropoulos (206-PF-83) of Malvin - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Esteban Batista (208-C-83) of Nacional - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Alex Lopez (185-G-93) of Atenas - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
