DONALD ROBINSON

29-year old guard Donald Robinson (193-G-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Trouville and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Trouville in his team's victory, helping them to crush Defensor (#3, 7-3) with 18-point margin 98-80. Trouville is placed at 10th position in Uruguayan league. Trouville is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game Robinson had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Trouville's top player in his first season with the team. West Virginia University Inst. of Techn. graduate has very impressive stats this year. Robinson is in league's top in points (7th best: 20.9ppg) and averages solid 56.1% FGP and 45.8% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Luis Hernandez (198-F) of ATENAS. In the last game he recorded impressive 36 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Atenas lost that game 88-105 to slightly higher-ranked Bigua (6-6). Atenas managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. is one of the most experienced players at Atenas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#1). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Joe Efese (198-PF-90) of VERDIRROJO (#12). Efese got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . Despite Efese's great performance Verdirrojo lost 83-99 to the higher-ranked Malvin (#4, 7-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Verdirrojo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Efese he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Efese has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (7th best). He also has 1.7bpg and FGP: 56.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cameron Forte (201-F-93) of Bigua - 30 points and 8 rebounds
5. Nick Waddell (200-C-89) of Welcome - 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-C-88) of Defensor - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
