Duke Crews
DUKE CREWS

30-year old forward Duke Crews (203-F-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sayago and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 35 points and 14 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Welcome (#12, 5-10) 84-94. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Sayago maintains the 14th position in Uruguayan league. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 15 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Crews had a remarkable 68.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sayago's top player in his first season with the team. Bowie State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Crews is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.6rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Cameron Forte (201-F-93) of Bigua. He is American forward in his first season at Bigua. In the last game Forte recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Bigua was edged by the higher-ranked Urunday Univ. (#6, 9-5) 74-71. Bigua is still in a red zone at 10th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Forte is a newcomer at Bigua and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#6). He also registered 9.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Joe Efese (198-PF-90) of VERDIRROJO (#13). Efese showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Efese's great performance Verdirrojo lost 76-87 to the higher-ranked Trouville (#9, 8-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Verdirrojo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Efese he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Efese has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.4rpg (7th best). He also has 1.8bpg and FGP: 55.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Matias De Gouveia (180-G-88) of Welcome - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Fernando Martinez (170-G-79) of Goes - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Nate Frye (183-PG-94) of Welcome - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Alejandro Acosta (186-PG-89) of Defensor - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Anthony Danridge (196-F-86) of Nacional - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Paul Harrison (203-C-89) of Trouville - 26 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Donald Robinson (193-G-89) of Trouville - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
