Fotios
Lampropoulos
Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 16 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Goes (9-7) to fourth ranked Malvin (10-4) 103-102 on Friday evening. Malvin had a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Malvin's coach Pablo Lopez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St.) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Malvin have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Defensor. Goes at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Trouville.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Urunday Univ. (#6) and Aguada (#5). Urunday Univ. (10-5) won against visiting Aguada (9-6) 80-74. The winners were led by point guard Facundo Medina (190-94) who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Quinnel Brown supported him with 23 points and 5 assists. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Andrew Feeley (205-83, college: UMBC) did not help to save the game for Aguada. Urunday Univ. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Aguada lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Hebraica.
LUB top team - Nacional (12-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Atletico Welcome (5-11) in Montevideo 104-85. Anthony Danridge fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Martin Trelles produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nacional maintains first position with 12-4 record. Loser Atletico Welcome keeps the twelfth place with 11 games lost.
Bottom-ranked Sayago (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to ninth ranked Trouville (9-7) 90-69. It was a very good performance for Miguel Ruiz who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 15 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trouville moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Goes. Newly promoted Sayago still closes the standings.
13th ranked Verdirrojo (2-13) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Hebraica (9-6) with the biggest margin this round 98-76 on Friday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Jaime Lloreda who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hebraica have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Aguada. Verdirrojo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost.

In the last two games of round 16 Bigua lost to Olimpia on the opponent's court 73-81. Atenas unfortunately lost to Defensor in a home game 91-99.

Urunday Univ. - Aguada 80-74

Five Urunday Univ. players scored in double figures. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Andrew Feeley (205-83, college: UMBC) did not help to save the game for Aguada. His fellow American import center Ricardo Glenn (203-90, college: USC Upstate, agency: HMS) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Urunday Univ. have a solid three-game winning streak.
