CD Universidad de Concepcion (Liga Nacional) inked experienced 34-year old American swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark). He started the season at Hebraica in Uruguayan LUB league. In 14 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.6apg this season. The last season Horton played at Inter Bratislava (SBL) in league where in 13 games he averaged 12.1ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Horton also played for KTP Basket (Korisliiga) in league. In 29 games he had 11.2ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.5apg. He also spent pre-season at Mitteldeutscher BC (BBL) in German league.
Among other achievements Horton received All-Swedish Basketligan 2nd Team award back in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. Horton has played also professionally in France (ADA Blois and Charleville Mezieres), Kosovo, Kuwait, Luxembourg (Sparta and Basket Esch), Romania (Craiova), Turkey (Baskent Genclik), Sweden (Norrkoping Dolphins) and Finland (Kauhajoki).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at CDU Concepcion.
Horton attended State Un.of N.Jersey Rutgers-Newark until 2007 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: At 6-foot-6, Jermont is quick and versatile. He is a consistent 3-point threat and possesses the ability to run the point, play the 2, or fill in at the 3 position when needed. Jermont possesses an outstanding perimeter game which includes a perfect jump shot and the ability to dribble as well as most point guards. This comes from the fact that when he entered college he was 6'1 and when he graduated he was 6'6. An extremely talented basketball player.
