Club Deportes Espanol de Talca (Liga Nacional) landed 31-year old American forward Jamelle Cornley (196-87, college: The Pennsylvania State). He started the season at Malvin in Uruguayan LUB league. But in three games he averaged just 1.3ppg and 3.0rpg this season. The last summer Cornley played at Capitol (Metropolitan) in Uruguayan league where in 9 games he had very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.6apg.
In 2009 he was drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in third round (42nd overall).
Cornley attended The Pennsylvania State and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he won PBA Governor's Cup championship title in 2012. Cornley received also All-PBA Governor's Cup Player of the Year award and All-PBA Governor's Cup Import Player of the Year award back in 2012.
He is a very experienced player. Cornley has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Cornley has played previously professionally in Argentina (Echague and Ciclista), France (JL Bourg), Israel (Hasharon and Lev Hasharon), Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan), Philippines (Rain or Shine), Ukraine (Dnipro), South Korea (ET Land Elephants), Libya (Al Nasr) and Thailand (Hitech).
