CALVIN WARNER

38-year old forward Calvin Warner (201-F-80) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sayago and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Atenas (#11, 7-16) with 20-point margin 99-79. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Sayago maintains the 13th position in Uruguayan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 22 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Warner had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sayago, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Calvin Warner averages this season 22.4ppg, 12.9rpg and 6.1apg.

Second best performed player last round was Duke Crews (203-F-88). He is American forward in his first season at Sayago. In the last game Crews recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Warner he helped Sayago with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Atenas (#11, 7-16) 99-79. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sayago keeps 13th position. 22 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Sayago managed to get this year. Crews is a newcomer at Sayago and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 10.2rpg and 3.4apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Mateo Sarni (185-G-98) of league's leader NACIONAL. Sarni showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the last round. He was a key player of Nacional, leading his team to a 103-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Verdirrojo (#14, 2-21). Nacional confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 6 lost games. Sarni has a very solid season. In 24 games in Uruguay he scored 6.1ppg. He also has 4.2apg, 2.1spg and FGP: 59.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Callistus Eziukwu (208-C-85) of Nacional - 19 points and 2 rebounds
5. Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) of Hebraica - 13 points and 13 rebounds
6. Rick Jackson (206-F-89) of Goes - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Nick Waddell (200-C-89) of Welcome - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Tyrone Lee (204-F-90) of Urunday Univ. - 25 points and 7 rebounds
9. Fernando Verrone (200-F-88) of Sayago - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Ricardo Glenn (203-C-90) of Aguada - 21 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. LUB Round 27: Defensor edges Hebraica by two points - 1 day ago
The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game of round 27 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Hebraica (14-12) to fifth ranked Defensor (17-9) 89-87 on Monday evening.
