Bahia Basket (La Liga) signed 33-year old American forward Patrick Sanders (201-98kg-85, college: Cal-Irvine). He started the season at Defensor in Uruguayan LUB league. In 24 games he had very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.0apg this season. He was also named League Player of the Week.
In 2008 Sanders was drafted by Albany Patroons (CBA) in second round (6th overall).
He attended University of California-Irvine and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Sanders' team was regular season runner-up in Thailand TBSL in 2018. He was also voted All-Thailand TBSL 1st Team in 2017.
Sanders is quite experienced player. He has played in eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Sanders has played previously professionally in Australia, France (Charleville Mezieres), Holland, Japan (Iwate Big Bulls and Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano), Latvia, Mexico, Argentina (Ferro) and Thailand (Mono Vampire and Mono Thew).
