Here is the weekly review of the top performing Uruguayan players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Spain). He led Burgos to a 2-point victory against the 16th-ranked Gran Canaria (6-15) 89-87 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Fitipaldo scored 12 points and added 4 assists in 20 minutes on the court. San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos (9-12) is placed 12th in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Fitipaldo averages: 8.4ppg, 1.8rpg, 4.9apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 56.0%(28-50), 3FGP: 36.0% and FT: 79.5% in 20 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.

Calfani managed to help San Lorenzo de Almagra to win against the closely-ranked Regatas Corrientes (12-8) 103-85 in the Argentinian La Liga last Friday. He scored 5 points and added 4 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. San Lorenzo de Almagra (13-1) is placed first in the La Liga. Calfani's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.2apg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 61.9%(26-42), 3FGP: 53.6%(15-28). He is in the roster of the Uruguayan senior national team.

   #3. The Uruguayan player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94, currently plays in Brazil). Parodi led Corinthians to a victory against the closely-ranked Mogi (15-7) 90-79 in the Brazilian NBB on Thursday night. He recorded 11 points, 7 assists and 4 steals in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (3-7) is placed fourth in the NBB. It's Parodi's first season with the team. Parodi has relatively good stats this year: 13.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 6.8apg, 2.8spg, 3FGP: 41.0% and FT: 86.7% in 10 games. He is also a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.

An experienced small forward Mauricio Aguiar (199-83, another player represented by Pro Sports, currently plays in Brazil) is a teammate of previously mentioned Luciano Parodi and both played together in the last Brazilian NBB game. Aguiar contributed to Corinthians' victory against the closely-ranked Mogi (15-7) 90-79. He recorded 13 points (made all of his six free throws). Aguiar's overall stats this season are: 7.9ppg and 1.4rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Italian and Uruguayan. Aguiar used to play for the Uruguayan national team back in 2016.

   #5. Former U17 international center Rogelio De Leon (205-89, currently plays in Argentina). De Leon could not help Rocamora (16-12) to beat La Union (12-18). He scored only 4 points and blocked 3 shots. The fourth-placed Rocamora (16-12) was defeated 81-77 at home by the lower-ranked La Union (#6) in the South - C.South group. De Leon's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3bpg. He used to play for the Uruguayan U17 national team fourteen years ago.

Forward Maximiliano Sole (197-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Quintanar (12-10) crushing them 91-66 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. Sole recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Real Madrid II (17-5) is placed second in Group B. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Sole's overall stats this season are: 4.2ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Uruguayan senior team four years ago.

   #7. Former U18 international forward Matias Guerra (201-92, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Palma II (9-10) in their last game. Despite Guerra's very good performance Palma II (#9) lost 78-91 on the road to the second-ranked Mollet in the Group C-B. He was the top scorer with 20 points. Guerra also added 8 rebounds in 34 minutes. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. This year Guerra has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.2apg in 18 games. He used to play for the Uruguayan U18 national team nine years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Uruguayan passport but never been selected to any of Uruguayan national teams:

   #1. Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-95, currently plays in Argentina) could not help Gimnasia LP (9-20) in their last game. Despite his good performance the eighth-placed Gimnasia LP (9-20) lost 77-87 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza in the South - C.South group. Zuvich scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. This year Zuvich has relatively solid stats: 11.2ppg, 8.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg in 28 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Uruguayan.

   #2. Emiliano Giano (180-PG-89, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Basket Navarra in a 3-point victory against the fifth-ranked Girona Basquet (14-10) 73-70 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Wednesday night's game. Giano scored only 3 points in 8 minutes on the court. Basket Navarra (16-7) is placed first in West group. This year Giano's overall stats are: 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg in five games. He is another player who holds two passports: Italian and Uruguayan.

ANTHONY DANRIDGE Toros de Aragua (LPB) signed 33-year old American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86kg-86, college: N.Mexico). He moved there from Nacional in Uruguayan LUB league where he started the season. In 38 games he had very impressive stats: 21.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.9apg this season. Malvin - Aguada 80-69 Malvin fired past Aguada to cut the deficit in the Finals. The best player for the winners was naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field).
