Sampson Carter (ex Hamilton HB) joins Trouville

Sampson Carter

Club Trouville Montevideo (LUB) agreed terms with 29-year old American forward Sampson Carter (203-100kg-90, college: Massachusetts). He played last summer at Hamilton Honey Badgers in Canadian CEBL. In 15 games he had 12.0ppg and 5.3rpg. The last season Carter played at The Storm in Canadian NBL Canada where in 27 games he recorded very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 7.7rpg and 1.9apg. Carter helped them to make it to the final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to USBasket.com All-CEBL Honorable Mention.
In 2015 (a year after he left the college) Carter was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) in fifth round (90th overall).
The former University of Massachusetts standout is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Carter's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Carter tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan), Philippines (Alab Pilipinas), Portugal (CAB Madeira), Slovakia, NBA (Memphis Grizzlies) and Dominican Republic (Cupes and Chola).
Carter is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
