Malvin adds Johnson to their roster, ex Ferro

Malvin Montevideo (LUB) added to their roster 27-year old American power forward Roquez Johnson (201-95kg-92, college: Mississippi State). He played last summer at Ferro in Argentinian La Liga. In three Liga Sudamericana games he recorded 9.0ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3apg. Johnson also played for Olimpia (Metropolitan League) in Paraguayan league that season where in 12 Metropolitan League games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 16.6ppg and had 9.2rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.0apg. Johnson helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Paraguayan Metropolitan League Clausura Center of the Year and voted to 1st Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
He won Argentinian LigaA championship title in 2016.
Johnson has played also professionally for other Argentinian teams like Argentina for Atenas Boca Juniors San Lorenzo.
He attended Mississippi State until 2015 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
