Howard Wilkerson (ex C.Espanol P.) is a newcomer at Danubio

Danubio (Metropolitan) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 36-year old American power forward Howard Wilkerson (198-113kg-84, college: Wofford). He has played for the last two years at Centro Espanol de Plottier in Argentinian La Liga. In 30 La Liga Argentina games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.6apg previous season. Wilkerson helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Great season indeed as he was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Argentina Import player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team.
Wilkerson is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Chile (Espanol de Talca and Liceo Mixto), France, Germany, Argentina (Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Obera Tennis Club, Huracan, Sarmiento de Formosa and Atenas), Uruguay (Union Atletica, Yale, Capitol and Pacaembu) and Bolivia (La Salle Tarija).
He won Chilean DIMAYOR championship title in 2012.
Wilkerson is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Danubio.
Wilkerson attended Wofford College until 2006 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
