Agustin Britos
Agustin Britos (191-F/G-1997) had a great game in the last round for Salto Uru. and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LSB Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 29 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team edged out Nacional FC (#1, 8-1) 94-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Salto Uru. maintains the 3rd position in Uruguayan LSB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Salto Uru. will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. Britos turned to be Salto Uru.'s top player in his first season with the team. Britos has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.1rpg) and averages solid 51.4% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Andre McPhail (201-F/C-1993) of Universitario. McPhail impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 20 rebounds. It was enough for Universitario to edge slightly higher-ranked Juventus (#4, 3-6) by 4 points 82-78. Universitario's 5th position in the standings has not changed. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Universitario managed to get this year. McPhail is a newcomer at Universitario and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was Sebastian Caballero (190-F-2002) of second-ranked Ferro CS. Caballero scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Ferro CS, leading his team to a 133-77 easy win against #1 ranked Circulo in a game of the week. Ferro CS is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-1 record is not that bad... Caballero has a great season in Uruguay. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 5.0rpg (9th best).

4. Eduardo Taure (186-G-1984) of Universitario - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
