Diego Silva
32-year old Diego Dias Silva (207-C/F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Ferro CS and receives a Hoops Agents LSB Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 24 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Ferro CS as his team was edged out by Nacional FC (#1, 9-1) 83-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Ferro CS maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan LSB. They are still close to the very top. But there are still few teams in the league, which Ferro CS can lose the games to. Now they are 8-2 and hopefully next round will be better. Dias Silva turned to be Ferro CS's top player in his first season with the team. Dias Silva has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.0rpg), assists (2nd best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 65.9% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Diego Altamiranda (201-F-2001) of Juventus. He is Colombian forward in his first season at Juventus. In the last game Altamiranda recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Juventus lost that game 80-89 to slightly higher-ranked Salto Uru. (#3, 7-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Juventus still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Altamiranda is a newcomer at Juventus and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#2). He also registered 10.4 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to center Pedro Pecanha (206-C-1998) of Salto Uru. (#3). Pecanha showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Salto Uru., leading his team to a 89-80 win against #4 ranked Juventus. Salto Uru. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Pecanha has a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 11.0rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.1apg (9th best). He also has 1.6bpg and FGP: 51.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
