Zuvich number one in Uruguayan Metropolitan for round 17

Naturalized Argentinian Power forward Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Atenas, receiving a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Verdirrojo (#14, 4-9) 84-74. Atenas is placed at 5th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Atenas will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Zuvich had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Atenas' top player in his first season with the team. Agustin Zuvich has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.6rpg) and averages impressive 60.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) of 25 de Agosto. Brown had a very good evening with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as 25 de Agosto lost that game 68-75 to the higher-ranked U.Atletica (#9, 7-8). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. 25 de Agosto dropped in the standings to 13th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Brown is a newcomer at 25 de Agosto, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.7rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Felipe Garcia (173-PG-1999) of U.Atletica (#9). Garcia scored 26 points and passed five assists. He was a key player of U.Atletica, leading his team to a 75-68 win against the lower-ranked 25 de Agosto (#13, 5-9). The chances of U.Atletica ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Garcia could help U.Atletica to bring them higher in the standings. Garcia has a great season in Uruguay. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 2.8apg (5th best).
