Santos' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old Dominican Rep. center Luis Santos (203-C-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Aguada Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Bigua (#7, 5-6) 94-81. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. Santos turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. Saint Louis University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Santos is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 66.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Romario Roque (175-G-1998) of Club Trouville Montevideo. He is Colombian guard in his first season at Trouville. In the last game Roque recorded impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Trouville to another comfortable win 93-75 over the lower-ranked L.Borges (#12, 2-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Trouville to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Roque is a newcomer at Trouville and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Shaquille Johnson (191-G-1990) of Club Atletico Penarol Montevideo (#5). Johnson got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Penarol, leading his team to a 79-72 win against slightly higher-ranked Defensor (#3, 6-3). Penarol needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Johnson has a very solid season. In 2 games in Uruguay he scored 26.5ppg.
