It was a great evening for naturalized Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Jordan Williams helped adding 23 points and 4 steals. American guard Jamal Bieniemy (196-1999, college: UTEP) responded with 22 points and 4 steals. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 12-8 record. Malvin at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Penarol (#1) and Nacional (#2). Penarol (18-3) won against visiting Nacional (16-3) 79-68. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Nacional. It was an exceptional evening for Jayson Granger who led the winners and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Michael Smith came up with 24 points for Nacional in the defeat. Penarol maintains first place with 18-3 record. Loser Nacional keeps the second position with three games lost.
In the last game of round 23 Urupan beat Goes on the road 80-74.
The most impressive performance of 23th round was 21 points and 11 rebounds by Miguel Simon of Urupan.
