It was a great evening for Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. American Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-1989) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Chaz Crawford (208-1984, college: Drexel) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Eric Romero accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. Argentinian forward Franco Giorgetti (203-1992) came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds for Nacional in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cordon's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Defensor.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#6) and Goes (#10). Goes were defeated at home 77-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Goes. The best player for the winners was Isaac Hamilton who scored 21 points and 4 steals. Bigua's coach Diego Cal used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Christian James who recorded 23 points and 4 assists. Bigua will meet at home Urupan (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. In the last two games of round 3 Trouville lost to Malvin on the opponent's court 71-81. Bottom-ranked L.Borges unfortunately lost to Urupan in a home game 72-84.
