The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Olimpia (8-2) on the court of eleventh ranked Sayago on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Sayago 83-65. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Olimpia. American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Brazilian power forward Joao Demetrio (208-1995) contributed with 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Sebastian Ottonello (200-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds for Olimpia. Sayago have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 4-6 record. Olimpia at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with U.Atletica.
Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Fourth ranked Capitol (7-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Bohemios (5-6) 66-63 on Friday evening. It was a great evening for forward Santiago Tucuna (197-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Juan Galletto helped adding 20 points. Argentinian forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Capitol moved-up to third place. Bohemios at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Stockolmo.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Lagomar (#7) and Goes (#5). Goes were defeated at home 72-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was an exceptional evening for Victor Andrade who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Lagomar's coach Alejandro Muro used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manu Vazquez came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Goes in the defeat. Lagomar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Colon. Loser Goes keep the fifth position with four games lost.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: Tabare beat Colon on the road 88-84. L.Borges won against Stockolmo on its own court 80-78. Verdirrojo was outscored by Larranaga in Montevideo 100-77. Montevideo was rolled over U.Atletica at home 68-88.
The most impressive performance of 11th round was 17 points and 13 rebounds by Okanu Kingsley of U.Atletica.
