The most exciting game of round 13 in the Metropolitan took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked U.Atletica (10-3) to fourteenth ranked L.Borges (5-8) 68-66 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of U.Atletica. Brazilian center Sergio Conceicao (209-2000) fired 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Fernando Verrone (201-1988) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Sebastian Alvarez (185-1989) produced 17 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. L.Borges moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bohemios and Sayago. U.Atletica at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Olimpia (#1) and Goes (#6). Olimpia (11-2) won against visiting Goes (7-6) 87-82. Worth to mention a great performance of Sebastian Ottonello (200-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Juan Viana contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. American center Tyler Harris (208-1993, college: Auburn) answered with 29 points and 8 rebounds for Goes. Olimpia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Goes at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Colon.

In the last two games of round 13 Larranaga defeated O.Mundial in Montevideo 85-77. Tabare was beaten by Montevideo at home 78-89.
