Rickards' double-double lands him Metropolitan Player of the Week award

24-year old American forward Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for Verdirrojo Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed L.Borges (#13, 5-9) with 25-point margin 92-67. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Verdirrojo is placed at 12th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. Verdirrojo is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-8 record. Rickards turned to be Verdirrojo's top player in his first season with the team. Wilmington University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rickards is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.2ppg) and averages solid 51.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Okanu Kingsley (202-PF, agency: Helping Ballers) of league's second-best Union Atletica Montevideo. He is American-Nigerian forward in his first season at U.Atletica. In the last game Kingsley recorded an impressive 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as U.Atletica lost that game 78-87 to the lower-ranked Stockolmo (#6, 7-6). U.Atletica managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. His team's 10-4 record is not bad at all. Kingsley is a newcomer at U.Atletica and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-1995) of Larranaga Montevideo (#10). Zuvich scored 29 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Larranaga, leading his team to a 85-82 win against slightly higher-ranked Colon (#9, 7-7). The chances of Larranaga ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Zuvich could help Larranaga to bring them higher in the standings. Zuvich has a great season in Uruguay. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (2nd best). Agustin Zuvich has also Uruguayan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
