Bazan's 26 points and 7 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Yale Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
She had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Yale in her team's victory, helping them to beat Aguada (#3, 5-2) 67-56. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Yale maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Yale would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Bazan had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's her second year at Yale and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Bazan has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.8ppg. Bazan is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.1apg) and averages solid 5.7spg and 58.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Karina Jacob (187-F/C-1985) of Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo. She is Brazilian forward in her first season at D.Sporting. In the last game Jacob recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for D.Sporting to edge Remeros (#5, 0-6) by 6 points 57-51. D.Sporting's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Jacob is a newcomer at D.Sporting and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Carla Miculka (174-F-1993) of league's leader Malvin Montevideo. Miculka showcased her all-around game by recording 15 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Malvin, leading her team to a 77-34 easy win against Urunday (#6, 0-6). Malvin confirms their top position in the standings. Miculka has a great season in Uruguay. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (5th best). She also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 58.8%.
