Justin Strings gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Metropolitan (by Hoops Agents)

American Justin Strings (201-F-1996) had a great game in the last round for Goes Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Goes in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Stockolmo (#7, 11-10) 77-74. Goes maintains the 5th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Goes will need more victories to improve their 13-9 record. In the team's last game Strings had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Goes' top player in his first season with the team. Justin Strings averages this season 22.8ppg and 9.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Facundo Terra (187-G-1998) of Stockholmo Montevideo. Terra impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Stockolmo was edged by slightly higher-ranked Goes (#5, 13-9) 77-74. Stockolmo managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Terra is a newcomer at Stockolmo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 6.2rpg and 5.3apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of Verdirrojo Montevideo (#14). Rickards scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Verdirrojo, leading his team to a 76-68 win against the higher-ranked Colon (#6, 12-11). The chances of Verdirrojo not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Rickards could try to bring Verdirrojo's a little bit higher in the standings. Rickards has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 14.1rpg (#1 in league).
