Scott number one in Uruguayan Metropolitan for round 26 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Stan Scott (193-G-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Sayago (#11, 10-14) with 33-point margin 92-59. It allowed Olimpia to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Metropolitan. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Olimpia has a very solid 19-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Olimpia's top player in his first season with the team. Stan Scott averages this season 16.8ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) of Atletico Tabare. Brown had a very good evening with 32 points and 9 rebounds. Of course Tabare cruised to a 77-69 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Colon (#8, 13-13). Tabare's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-11 record is not bad and everything may still change. Brown is a newcomer at Tabare, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#2). He also registered 9.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-F-1999) of Bohemios Montevideo (#13). Verbauwede scored 13 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Verbauwede's great performance the Bohemios lost 63-68 to the higher-ranked Capitol (#7, 13-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bohemios not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Verbauwede could try to bring Bohemios' a little bit higher in the standings. Verbauwede has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best).

10. Martin Aguilera (195-F-1987) of Capitol - 17 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
