Skyler Hogan gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (by Hoops Agents)

American Skyler Hogan (196-G-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Hebraica Macabi Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 27-year old guard had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Trouville (#6, 1-1) 85-77. Hebraica is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan LUB. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Hebraica won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Hogan had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hebraica's top player in his first season with the team. Southeast Missouri State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hogan is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.0ppg. Hogan is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 10.0rpg), assists (6th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 71.4% FGP and 60.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian shooting guard Mateo Bolivar (187-SG-1992) of Club Trouville Montevideo. Bolivar impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Trouville lost that game 77-85 to Hebraica (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bolivar is a newcomer at Trouville and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Anthony Peacock (206-PF-1999) of Urupan de Pando (#4). Peacock scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Peacock's great performance the Urupan lost 65-87 to #1 ranked Cordon. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Urupan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Peacock has a great season in Uruguay. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 16.0rpg (#1 in league).
