Latinbasket.com All-Uruguayan Liga Femenina Awards 2024- November 7, 2024![]() Agustina Bazan, 21-year old Argentinian small forward from the Yale Montevideo, earned the Player of the Year at the Liga Femenina de Basquetbol.
She received multiple other awards, picked up the Forward of the Year and earned a spot in the First Team.
With Bazan's excellent performance, the Yale Montevideo achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 8 to 2 in the regular season.
Bazan's best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo 0 to 3.
She was previously voted to the Second Team last year.
Bazan averaged 8 rebounds per game in the league.
She was the Player of the Week honoree 5 times during the 24 campaign.
Bazan led the LFB in points per game with almost 18.
She has totalled 11 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 6 games on the year.

With Fernandez's outstanding performance, the Malvin Montevideo achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 9 to 0 in the regular season and 8 to 1 in the Round of 16.
Fernandez was previously voted the Finals MVP, and chosen to the Second Team back in 2022 and First Team last year.
She registered almost 13 points per game that season in the league.
Fernandez led the LFB in assists per game with over 6.
Her 24 points against the Ferro were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
Despite Fernandez's young age she had an impressive career.
She won the Uruguayan Liga Femenina championship title for two years in a row (2022 and 2023).
Ornela Bacchini, 35-year old Argentinian center from the Remeros Mercedes, was selected as the Center of the Year at the Liga Femenina de Basquetbol.
She graduated from the OLLU ten years ago.
Bacchini was also named to the First Team.
She was previously honored as the Center of the Year and earned a spot in the First Team back in 2022 and 2023.
Bacchini received Player of the Week award in the league.
Her court vision propelled her to the fourth spot in rebounds per game an outstanding average of 10.
Bacchini also had 13 points per game over the season in the league.
She has totalled 4 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 12 games on the year.
Bacchini's 21 points against the Lagomar were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
Abril Ramirez, Argentinian point guard from the Urunday Universitario Montevideo, was voted to the First Team of Liga Femenina de Basquetbol.
She was previously named to Honorable Mention back in 2022 and 2023.
Ramirez averaged over 13 points and 7 rebounds per game in the league.
She has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 3 games on the year.
