It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bigua. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian-American Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Agustin Moller (-1985) contributed with 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Josh Cunningham (203-1996, college: Dayton) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for Bigua. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Urunday moved-up to third place, which they share with Urupan. Bigua at the other side dropped to the second position with 14 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Nacional. Bigua will play next round against strong Urupan trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Urunday will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Hebraica. It will be extra interesting game as Hebraica is their local rival from Montevideo.

At the losing side American guard Gary Ricks (185-1991, college: Drake) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Trouville lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 21 games lost. Trouville will play next round against Welcome trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo - Welcome. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Urupan (9-16) against fifth ranked Welcome (7-19) on Saturday night. Visiting Urupan was defeated by Welcome in a tough game in Montevideo 77-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Urupan. The winners were led by Brandon Beavers who scored that evening 16 points. Even a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds by Anthony Peacock did not help to save the game for Urupan. Urupan's coach Agustin Esteve rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Welcome maintains fifth position with 7-19 record. Loser Urupan keeps the third place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Urunday. Welcome's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Trouville.
