Brown's double-double lands him Liga de Ascenso Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American power forward Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for Atletico Tabare and receives a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Colon (#6, 1-1) 76-86. Tabare maintains the 13th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 2 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tabare and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Ouachita Baptist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.0ppg. Brown is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0spg and 64.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ezequiel Bell (202-F/C-1999) of Capitol Montevideo. He is Panamanian forward in his first season at Capitol. In the last game Bell recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Capitol lost that game 75-82 to Lagomar (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bell is one of the most experienced players at Capitol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.5ppg (#4). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Andriy Grytsak (201-SF-2000) of league's leader Atletico Atenas Montevideo. Grytsak scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Atenas, leading his team to a 85-73 win against Marne (#10, 0-1). Atenas has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Grytsak also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Grytsak has a great season in Uruguay. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (4th best).
