Oyenard number one in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Manuel Oyenard (194-F-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Larre Borges Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Marne (#11, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 79-67. L.Borges is placed at 4th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. L.Borges will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Oyenard had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at L.Borges, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Manuel Oyenard has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.7ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg,2.3spg,51.7% FGP and 46.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Mateo Pose (190-F-1994) of league's leader Atletico Atenas Montevideo. Pose had a very good evening with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Atenas cruised to a 84-75 relatively comfortable win over Olimpia (0-2). A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Pose is one of the most experienced players at Atenas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Panamanian forward Ezequiel Bell (202-F/C-1999) of Capitol Montevideo (#7). Bell scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Capitol, leading his team to a 93-88 win against Colon (1-2). The chances of Capitol not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bell could try to bring Capitol's a little bit higher in the standings. Bell has individually a great season in Uruguay. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best).
