Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Verdirrojo (#2) and Marne (#8). Marne was crushed at home by 24 points 71-95 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Verdirrojo made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Verdirrojo had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Verdirrojo looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Marne's players. Point guard JMartin Mayora (181-1995) fired 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Jacob Ledoux (190-1997, college: UTPB, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) produced 21 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Verdirrojo (9-3) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Larranaga. Marne at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Lagomar (8-4) against seventh ranked Colon (6-6) on Friday night. Visiting Lagomar was defeated by Colon in a tough game in Colon 71-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lagomar. Worth to mention a great performance of center Martin Tessadri (200-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Santiago Tucuna contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (202-2000) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for Lagomar. Lagomar's coach Esteban Yaquinta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Colon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Olimpia. Lagomar at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Atenas and L.Borges.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked L.Borges (8-4) against eleventh ranked Tabare (5-7) on Thursday night. Visiting L.Borges were defeated by Tabare in Tabare 80-70. Juan Zanotta stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. At the losing side Sergio Conceicao responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Tabare moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser L.Borges keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Atenas and Lagomar.

Other games of round 13 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Atenas defeated Capitol in Montevideo 79-71. Olimpia was beaten by Montevideo at home 91-95. Yale was destroyed by Stockolmo on the opponent's court 82-58.

Capitol - Atenas 71-79

There was no surprise in Montevideo where 12th ranked Capitol (2-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Atenas (8-4) 79-71 on Thursday. Ukrainian Andriy Grytsak (201-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American DeAngelo Stewart (197-1995, college: PFW) chipped in 25 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Claudio Bascou (185-1989) responded with 29 points and Pablo Macanskas (196-1990) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. Atenas moved-up to third place, which they share with L.Borges and Lagomar. Capitol lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Yale.

Olimpia - Montevideo 91-95

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Montevideo (5-7) defeated on the road higher ranked Olimpia (6-6) 95-91 on Friday. Montevideo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 30. Montevideo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Agustin Da Costa (191-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Octavio Medina (195-1996) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) responded with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Agustin Mendez (180-2003) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Five Montevideo and four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Montevideo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Olimpia keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Colon.

Stockolmo - Yale 82-58

Rather expected game in Montevideo where 12th ranked Yale (2-10) was rolled over by tenth ranked Stockolmo (5-7) 82-58 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stockolmo made 7 blocks. Forward Joaquin Rodriguez (199-2003) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and forward Nicolas Lema (-2005) chipped in 14 points. At the losing side Cuban center Arle Zaporta responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Martin Astramskas (190-2002) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stockolmo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Yale lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Capitol.
