The game between third ranked Lagomar (8-4) and seventh ranked Colon (6-6) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Lagomar was defeated by Colon in a tough game in Colon 71-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lagomar. Colon looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Martin Tessadri (200-2001) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Santiago Tucuna (197-2002) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (202-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Lagomar's coach Esteban Yaquinta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Colon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Olimpia. Lagomar at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Atenas and L.Borges.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked L.Borges (8-4) against eleventh ranked Tabare (5-7) on Thursday night. Visiting L.Borges were defeated by Tabare in Tabare 80-70. Guard Juan Zanotta (185-1995) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Kwame Alexander accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sergio Conceicao came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds for L.Borges in the defeat. Tabare moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Montevideo. L.Borges at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Atenas and Lagomar.
An interesting game took place in Montevideo where higher ranked Olimpia (6-6) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Montevideo (5-7) 95-91 on Friday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Olimpia. Agustin Da Costa fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Anthony Hilliard produced 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Montevideo moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Tabare. Loser Olimpia keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Colon.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: Atenas won against Capitol on the opponent's court 79-71. Marne was outscored by Verdirrojo in a home game 71-95. Yale was rolled over Stockolmo on the road 82-58. Stockolmo was defeated by Marne on its own court 69-78.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 16 points and 6 rebounds by Lucio Castellani of Stockolmo.



Capitol - Atenas 71-79

Very expected game in Montevideo where 12th ranked Capitol (2-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Atenas (8-4) 79-71 on Thursday. Ukrainian Andriy Grytsak (201-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American DeAngelo Stewart (197-1995, college: PFW) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Claudio Bascou (185-1989) produced 29 points and Pablo Macanskas (196-1990) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Atenas moved-up to third place, which they share with L.Borges and Lagomar. Capitol lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Yale.
