Buemo's 27 points and 7 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award

29-year old Argentinian Carlos Buemo (194-SF-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Larranaga Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds for Larranaga in his team's victory, helping them to beat Colon (#8, 6-12) 79-72. It allowed Larranaga to take over top position in the Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Larranaga has a very solid 13-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Buemo turned to be Larranaga's top player in his first season with the team. Carlos Buemo averages this season 15.6ppg and 4.8apg.

Second best performed player last round was Joao Fidelis (205-C-2001) of Club Atletico Marne Montevideo. He is Brazilian center in his first season at Marne. In the last game Fidelis recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Marne lost that game 74-82 to the higher-ranked L.Borges (#4, 12-6). Marne managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-12 record. Fidelis is a newcomer at Marne and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Lucio Castellani (196-F-1994) of Places 9-13 second-best Stockholmo Montevideo. Castellani scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Stockolmo, leading his team to a 88-86 win against the lower-ranked Montevideo (#9, 9-8). The chances of Stockolmo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Castellani could help Stockolmo to bring them higher in the standings. Castellani has a great season in Uruguay. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (4th best).
