L.Borges looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Brazilian center Sergio da Conceicao (209-2000) who scored 32 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Fernando Verrone (201-1988) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Jamal Hartwell II (180-1999, college: UC Riverside) who recorded 30 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Cristian Modernell (198-1999) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively. Lagomar's coach Esteban Yaquinta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Atenas - Marne 75-65

Atenas brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for Ukrainian Andriy Grytsak (201-2000) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Luciano Planells (185-2001) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Atenas players scored in double figures. Point guard Andres Aristimuno (184-1992) answered with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Lucas Silva (197-2002) added 14 points in the effort for Marne. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Verdirrojo dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 32. It was a great evening for forward Federico Haller (200-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Martin Aguilera (195-1987) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Verdirrojo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Agustin Mendez (180-2003) with 18 points and 4 assists and point guard Tiago Leites (197-2002) scored 18 points. Olimpia's coach Federico Camina tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
