L.Borges outrebounded Atenas 48-31 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Brazilian center Sergio da Conceicao (209-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds. Point guard Nicolas Pereyra (180-1999) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian Andriy Grytsak (201-2000) who recorded 12 points and 6 assists and point guard Luciano Planells (185-2001) added 15 points respectively. Argentinian Carlos Buemo (194-1996) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Larranaga's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
