Dragan Zekovic gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Serbian Dragan Zekovic (209-PF-1987, agency: 011 Sports) had a great game in the last round for Malvin Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 38-year old power forward had the game-high 21 points adding eight rebounds for Malvin in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Welcome (#12, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 95-94. Malvin is placed at 5th position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Malvin will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Zekovic had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Malvin's top player in his first season with the team. Dragan Zekovic averages just after three games 16.7ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Uruguayan point guard Mateo Sarni (185-PG-1998) of Urunday Universitario Montevideo. Sarni impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 10 points and 17 assists. Bad luck as Urunday lost that game 92-97 to the higher-ranked Defensor (#3, 3-1). Despite Canty's great performance the Hebraica lost 74-84 to the higher-ranked Bigua (#2, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Hebraica needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Canty has a very solid season. In 4 games in Uruguay he scored 12.0ppg.
