Remy Abell gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Remy Abell (193-G-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for Malvin Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 33-year old guard had the game-high 29 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Malvin in his team's victory, helping them to crush Defensor (#6, 3-3) with 16-point margin 92-76. Malvin is placed at 4th position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Malvin will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Abell had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He turned to be Malvin's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Abell is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.0ppg) and averages solid 69.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Franklin Hassell (205-C-1988) of Atletico Bigua Montevideo. Hassell impressed basketball fans with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Bigua lost that game 93-110 to the higher-ranked Nacional (#2, 5-1). This loss caused Bigua to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hassell is a newcomer at Bigua and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American James Feldeine (193-C-1988) of second-ranked Nacional De Futbol Montevideo. Feldeine got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Nacional, leading his team to a 110-93 easy win against the lower-ranked Bigua (#9, 3-3). Nacional is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Feldeine has a great season in Uruguay. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (7th best).
