Louis number one in Uruguay LUB for round 12

American Center Arnold Louis (201-C-1990) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hebraica Macabi Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed Goes (#9, 3-8) with 43-point margin 106-63. Hebraica maintains the 4th position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hebraica will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Louis had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hebraica's top player in his first season with the team. Former Savannah State University star has very solid stats this year. Louis is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.2rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Quatarrius Wilson (203-C/F-1996, agency: One Motive Sports) of Union Atletica Montevideo. Wilson had a very good evening with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as U.Atletica lost that game 72-78 to the higher-ranked Malvin (#3, 8-3). This loss caused U.Atletica to drop to 10th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories U.Atletica managed to get this year. Wilson is a newcomer at U.Atletica, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. guard Jhery Matos (196-SG-1996) of Atletico Bigua Montevideo (#6). Matos showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bigua, leading his team to a 98-86 win against Welcome (#12, 0-10). Bigua needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 5 lost games. Matos has a great season in Uruguay. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (6th best).
