Earl Clark gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Earl Clark (208-PF-1988, agency: BIG) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Atletico Aguada Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 37-year old power forward had a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat U.Atletica (#8, 10-10) 90-76. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 14-6 record. In the team's last game Clark had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clark is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.6ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 52.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Deshone Hicks (178-PG-1999) of Atletico Bigua Montevideo. Hicks impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Bigua lost that game 76-98 to the higher-ranked Penarol (#1, 18-2). This loss caused Bigua to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hicks is a newcomer at Bigua and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Myke Henry (198-F-1992) of Hebraica Macabi Montevideo (#5). Henry scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Hebraica, leading his team to a 87-83 win against slightly higher-ranked Malvin (#4, 13-8). Hebraica needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 7 lost games. The season just started for Henry as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
