Myke Henry gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (Second Stage)

Experienced American Myke Henry (198-F-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hebraica Macabi Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 33-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Defensor (#6, 12-12) 90-87. Thanks to this victory Hebraica moved-up to the 4th position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Hebraica will need more victories to improve their 15-9 record. In the team's last game Henry had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hebraica's top player in his first season with the team.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American Rashad Hassan (203-C/F-1989) of Atletico Welcome Montevideo. Hassan impressed basketball fans with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Bad luck as Welcome lost that game 91-104 to U.Atletica (12-12). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Hassan is a newcomer at Welcome and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.5ppg (#3). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Elijah Weaver (197-G -1998) of Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo (#6). Weaver scored 25 points and passed 6 assists. Despite Weaver's great performance the Defensor lost 87-90 to Hebraica (#4, 15-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Defensor needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 12 lost games. Weaver has a great season in Uruguay. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (best scorer). He also has a FGP of 66.9% and 3PT: 45.5%.
