Clark's double-double lands him (Second Stage) Player of the Week award

37-year old American power forward Earl Clark (208-PF-1988) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Aguada Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Hebraica (#5, 16-14) 102-100. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 20-8 record. In the team's last game Clark had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clark is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg,51.3% FGP and 42.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Jalen Canty (203-F-1995, agency: Haylett Sports) of Hebraica Macabi Montevideo. He is American forward in his first season at Hebraica. In the last game Canty recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hebraica was edged by the higher-ranked Aguada (#2, 20-8) 102-100. Hebraica managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Canty is a newcomer at Hebraica and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Andres Ibarguen (200-F-1996) of league's leader Club Atletico Penarol Montevideo. Ibarguen scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Ibarguen's great performance the Penarol lost 84-92 to the lower-ranked Defensor (#6, 14-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Penarol needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 22 victories and 6 lost games. Ibarguen has a very solid season. In 25 games in Uruguay he scored 13.0ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and a FGP of 68.1%.
