Vescovi number one in Uruguay LUB for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

Guard Santiago Vescovi (191-G-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Club Atletico Penarol Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, eight rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Aguada (#2, 20-9) 103-95. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Penarol to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan LUB. Penarol have a solid 24-6 record. In the team's last game Vescovi had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Penarol's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Tennessee star has very solid stats this year. Vescovi is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.5apg) and averages impressive 60.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. Luis Santos (203-C-1994) of league's second-best Atletico Aguada Montevideo. Santos had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Aguada lost that game 95-103 to slightly higher-ranked Penarol (#1, 24-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Aguada still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 20-9 record is not bad at all. Santos is a newcomer at Aguada, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center James Feldeine (193-C-1988) of Nacional De Futbol Montevideo (#3). Feldeine got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Feldeine's great performance the Nacional lost 82-84 to #1 ranked Penarol. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Nacional needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 19 victories and 10 lost games. Feldeine has a very solid season. In 27 games in Uruguay he scored 16.7ppg. He also has 3.7apg and a FGP of 51.7%.
