Nate
Robinson
Guaros de Lara (LPB) signed 33-year old American point guard Nate Robinson (175-82kg-84, college: Washington). He started the season at Delaware 87ers (D-League) in the U.S. In 17 games he had 12.2ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.2apg and 1.8spg this season.
The most of last season Robinson spent at Hapoel Tel Aviv (Winner League) in Israel where in 14 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.8spg. He was called during the season by the New Orleans Pelicans. But in two NBA games he did not score anything, 4 assists and 1 steal.
In 2005 Robinson was drafted by Phoenix Suns (NBA) in first round (21st overall). The former University of Washington standoutis in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Robinson has played also professionally for other NBA teams like Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers.
He could be described: A phenomenal athlete. If you are not sure you can win the game going into it, just watching him out there with you kind of convinces you that you might have a chance. Nate's got a swagger about him that just rubs off on everyone else. It's contagious. Not to mention his ability to go up and dunk the ball at 5-9. He can do some things that electrify a crowd. The best way to describe him is as a hard-nosed winner.
