Lucena is back at Gigantes

Gigantes de Guayana (LPB) agreed terms with 33-year old Venezuelan-Colombian point guard Fernando Lucena (185-86). It is actually his comeback to Puerto Ordaz as he has played here before. Lucena played last summer at Bucaros in Colombian LPB league. In only one game he recorded 12 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. He also played 3 games in where he had 10.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg. The other team Lucena played shortly was Gigantes. Another team he played briefly was Acereros (Serie A).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Lucena's team was regular season runner-up in Venezuelan LPB Eastern Conference in 2018. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB Honorable Mention back in 2017.
Lucena has played previously professionally also in Venezuela (Panteras, Gatos, Guacharos and Cangrejeros) and Colombia (Barrancabermeja Ciudad Futuro, Patriotas, Hormigueros and Warriors).
