Jose Ascanio

Supersonicos de Miranda (SLB) signed 24-year old Venezuelan international forward Jose Ascanio (204-96). He played last season at Atenas in Argentinian La Liga. In 15 La Liga Argentina games he had 8.7ppg and 4.7rpg previous season. Ascanio also played for Estudiantes (La Liga) in Argentina where in 13 games he recorded 5.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.0apg.
He has been a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Ascanio has been regularly called to Venezuelan senior team since 2018 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2013.
He is quite experienced player. Ascanio has played also professionally in Colombia (Piratas), Spain (Zaragoza and Olivar), Venezuela (Guaros de Lara 2nd team and Guaros) and Peru (EOFap).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Venezuelan LPB championship title in 2018. Ascanio was also voted Latinbasket.com Venezuelan LPB All-Rookies Team in 2018.
